This privacy policy explains how we (Turtle Chat Rooms) collect, use, share and transfer your personal data when you use our IRC servers, turtlechatrooms.com, account.turtlechatrooms.com and blog.turtlechatrooms.com (“our sites”) as well as our app (collectively “our services”).

We do not log public or private chat on our IRC servers however users may log their own chats privately. Be careful about disclosing personal information in our chat rooms or in private messages because that information may be logged by a third party, which is beyond our control.

We will share your data if required to do so by law - for example, by court order.


How long we keep your data:


We retain most data for a period of 30 days after which the data is removed from our systems. We retain all account information and data indefinitely unless a user deletes their account or it is automatically removed for inactivity, in which case the data is subject to our general data retention policy of 30 days.


Children’s privacy protection:


Our services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger. We do not intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 13.

We are committed to doing all that we can to keep your data secure. We have set up systems and processes to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your data. We also make sure that any third parties that we deal with keep all personal data they process on our behalf secure.
